The Greenbelt

The David C. Adkisson Greenbelt Park is a shared use path linking neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and parks throughout Owensboro.

Daviess County Fiscal Court maintains a two-mile section of the Greenbelt, beginning at the trailhead on Miller’s Mill Road and extending past Horse Fork Creek Park to Yewell Heritage Park in the Brookhill subdivision.

The County also maintains a section from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital to Daniels Lane, with a possible future expansion to Yellow Creek Park on Reid Road.

Designated parking lots for the Greenbelt exist at these locations: GRADD Office, Jack C Fisher Park, Russell Shifley Park, Higdon Road, Yewell Heritage Park, Horse Fork Creek Park, Miller’s Mill Road, and Lagoon Lane.

Below is a map of the existing trail segments totaling approximately 17 miles.
