^{In the summer of 2006, Daviess County Fiscal Court launched the Daviess County Citizen Access Board (DC-CAB).  This countywide initiative is designed to provide ongoing and direct communication between Daviess County Fiscal Court and citizens in our county.  This initiative is providing Daviess County Fiscal Court with an opportunity to better represent the citizens of Daviess County as we debate the issues and determine courses of action in areas which affect us today and in the future.}

^{On a quarterly basis, members of Daviess County Fiscal Court meet with this cross section of citizens from throughout the county to deliberate on issues impacting our community today, and into the future.  While there are several groups in the community that deliberate issues and report the findings of those deliberations to local government, this is the only group working directly with local government to address local issues.  From our discussions and deliberations, members of the panel serve as a citizen legislator with Daviess County Fiscal Court in addressing community issues.  While the DC-CAB is made up of 40 members appointed by fiscal court, we welcome any and all citizens of Daviess County to join in our dialogue.}
