Daviess County Fiscal Court has approved a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) agreement with the Kentucky Department for Local Government – DLG.
The grant totaling $1 million will support a Habitat for Humanity neighborhood development project off Kentucky Highway 144 near the Consumer Mall.
Habitat for Humanity of Owensboro-Daviess County will use this funding to acquire approximately three acres of land, and ensure the development of public infrastructure (water, wastewater, storm water, streets, and sidewalks).
The organization will construct 10 new homes for low to moderate income households.
