The Daviess County Road Department is preparing for the first snowfall of the season.
Since Tuesday, crews have been pre-treating county roads with a brine solution. The department had already stockpiled approximately 1,400 tons of salt and 10,000 gallons of brine solution for the winter.
Major county roads and subdivisions will be salted and plowed once the snow begins to fall on Thursday.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Daviess County from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. with 1 to 2 inches of snow in the forecast.
