The Daviess County Detention Center is working with Owensboro Community & Technical College to provide workforce skills training for inmates.
The Reentry Success Program will provide an opportunity to acquire critical skills for employment in manufacturing and/or skilled trades.
Daviess County Fiscal Court and the City of Owensboro provided support for the participation of 40 inmates in the program. The first cohort started classes on Monday, July 11.
