The Human Resources department strives to provide quality employment and benefit services to the employees of Daviess County Fiscal Court.

Department responsibilities include administering and enforcing personnel policies outlined in the administrative code, providing benefit information and assistance, processing payroll and conducting and assisting with the hiring process. We are always available to assist in any matter relating to personnel needs.


Employment Opportunities

Building & Grounds TechnicianDaviess County Fiscal Court is hiring a Building & Grounds Technician.  The successful candidate will ensure county-owned buildings and properties are clean and ready for public use.  Responsibilities include mowing and trimming, planting flowers, collecting trash and debris, along with other types of yard work.  The Technician should be capable of performing minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs.  Other duties might include painting, spill clean-up, snow removal, building inspections, and coordinating maintenance with contractors and/or service delivery personnel.  The starting rate is $22.23 per hour.

Firefighter/EMTDaviess County Fiscal Court is hiring a Firefighter/EMT for the Daviess County Fire Department.  The successful candidate will assist in emergency and non-emergency operations relating to fire and medical response.  This position requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college, two years of related experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.  Other requirements include a valid driver’s license, EMT-B certification, and current Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). Staff AccountantDaviess County Fiscal Court is hiring a Staff Accountant to maintain revenues, expenses, and cash balances for county government.  This position will also assist with payroll processing, data response for audits, and special projects, as required.  The Staff Accountant will work alongside the County Treasurer in fulfilling the financial requirements of KRS Chapter 68 and the Uniform System of Accounts for Kentucky Counties.

Seasonal Park AttendantDaviess County Fiscal Court is hiring a Seasonal Park Attendant for the Mattingly Target Shooting Range.  This position will assist the Gun Club Operator with all logistical needs associated with day-to-day operations along with planned special events.  Responsibilities include opening and closing the facility, retail sales, managing inventory, maintaining the grounds and target machines.  All candidates must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or general education degree and a valid driver’s license.  The starting rate is $15 per hour.
