Celebrate the grand opening of Kentucky Guitar Works and the Rick Faris Guitar Co. this Friday, May 10 during BBQ & Barrels.
Artist in Residence, Rick Faris, builds handcrafted guitars from 100% Hide Glue and unique quality tonewood. This art of making stringed instruments and repairing them is known as lutherie.
Kentucky Guitar Works will feature a visitor viewing area with a gallery for exhibition and a space for instrument building workshops. Faris is looking forward to hosting seminars and classes for people to build their own guitars and further the trade.
