The Daviess County Detention Center is celebrating a Reentry Success graduation for nine inmates who completed the workforce certificate program.
Participants acquire critical skills for employment in manufacturing or skilled trades. Just over 50 inmates have completed the program with another five preparing to start the online training platform.
The certificate is earned through Owensboro Community & Technical College. Community partners include the City of Owensboro, Daviess County Fiscal Court, the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation, and the Division of Reentry Services in the Kentucky Department of Corrections.
