Daviess County Parks & Recreation will celebrate America with a large fireworks display at Yellow Creek Park on Friday, July 5.
The free event begins at 5 p.m. with food trucks, kids’ activities, and live music. Bring a lawn chair and find the perfect viewing spot around the fishing lake. Please, no alcohol and no dogs.
Kids’ activities include inflatables, a petting zoo, magic show, balloon artists, face painting, and a display of emergency vehicles.
The featured entertainment is Whiskey Row, Western Kentucky’s premiere high energy country band covering the best of the genre from the 80s and 90s.
Celebrated farm broadcaster Jeff Nalley will emcee the event with the fireworks scheduled for 8:45 p.m. Contact the parks office with questions at (270) 685-6142.
